Michelle Kemper Brownlow who wrote two of the most emotionally intense books that I have read in the last 12 months has made a big decision. She is a traditionally published author who is turning Indie. Why? Well in her own words:
“I wanted full control over what I do with my books, how I market them and who I work with during the publishing process. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the amazingly talented INDIE authors I’ve grown to know and love during what has been just the very beginning of a (hopefully) long writing career”.
So Michelle is rereleasing both of her bestselling novels and to mark the occasion, there is a SALE of In Too Deep and On Solid Ground. Both e-books are available for 99c on Tuesday 28th Jan on Amazon, B&N, Kobo, iBooks, Sony, CreateSpace. In Too Deep by Michelle Kemper Brownlow

Gracie has just finished her freshman year of college in Memphis when she takes a job at a local pizza joint in her home town of McKenzie, Tennessee. She is the epitome of innocence when she meets Noah. Noah is unabashedly handsome, intriguingly reckless and just cocky enough to be sexy. Gracie’s instincts tell her to stay far away from him and based on the stories she hears from her co-workers he leaves broken hearts in his wake. But still, she can’t explain her fascination with him.Noah puts aside his bad boy ways when what he thought was a summer crush has him unexpectedly falling in love. But soon after Gracie transfers to UT Knoxville to be with Noah, their unexpected love becomes riddled with anger, deceit and humiliation.Jake, Noah’s former roommate and Gracie’s best friend, can no longer be a bystander. Gracie’s world falls out from beneath her and when she breaks she turns to Jake for strength. As Jake talks her through a decision she’s not yet strong enough to make, together they uncover a truth so ugly neither of them is prepared for its fallout. Will Jake pull her to the surface or is Gracie Jordan finally In Too Deep?
I know lots of New Adult books are tagged as emotional and intense but these books are ones that truly warrant that description. They cover the tricky subject of emotional abuse in a deep, meaningful way that touched my heart. They are raw and real.
I don’t think Gracie is a character I will ever forget; she is telling the story of so many women but in a hopeful and inspirational way. And if you love music, then I think you’ll connect even more with these books as Gracie finds healing and strength through music and I think lots of people will relate with that. Ohh and there is a great romance too (in time, Gracie has a long road to walk first) :O
