Twitteresque Book Reviews : Friday Night Alibi by Cassie Mae and The Pleasurs of Summer by Evie Hunter

July 31, 2013 Book review, Twitteresque Reviews 0

Twitteresque reviews are for books where I don’t feel like writing a full review but I want to give you a flavour of how I felt during the book.  All in 140 characters or less!

Or you could call them lazy blogger reviews but doesn’t twitteresque sound better!  Yes, I think so too.

Book Title : Friday Night Alibi
Author : Cassie Mae
Source : NetGalley
Genre : YA/NA (no graphic scenes)
My Rating : 3.5 stars out of 5 stars

Poor little rich girl theme.  Flirt factor is high with a slowly built, believable romance.  Plotting, revenge &  banter equals a cute, entertaining read.   Fluffy but fun

Book Title : The Pleasures of Summer
Author : Evie Hunter
Source : NetGalley
Genre : Adult Fiction (over 18s only and not for the faint hearted)
My Rating : 3.5 stars out of 5 stars

Blushworthy scenes, graphic.  50 Shades-ish but with a feisty, strong female character and intelligent writing.  Epic romance, hotter than the hottest of summers!

Bookish Chat : Have you read either of these?  What do you think of the sound of them?  They are the opposite ends of the romance genre so I though it was interesting to review them together.  One is innocent and very clean, the other explosive and explicit.  Which do you prefer?
