The Sunday Post : Get your bookish news – I need a holiday

May 26, 2019 meme, The Sunday Post 16

Welcome to The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kim the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  Grab a cuppa and let me bend your ear (eyes?) for a few minutes with all my bookish news.

Between My Sundays – what happened this week

Honestly not a lot!  I feel very stuck in routine, I get up go to work, come home do housework, go to the gym to do gym work.  And then home again to book and a bed.  I’ve been squeezing my blogging into lunchtime.  Then weekends are taken up with visiting my elderly parents.

Normally these are all things I enjoy, but I think I just need a holiday to put a spring back into my step.  So, I’m dreaming of a day with no clocks, and time to do what I want to do for as long as I can.

However, I can take a few days off in June, so I need to get my act together and book a mini break somewhere.  Even booking and looking forward to it will be very uplifting.

I need to get that gym part into my routine. Good for you! I am so tired, when I get home, and lack the ambition. I love when I have days off and nothing to do. I really am a hermit by nature.

Yes, plan that mini-holiday! Everyone needs a break once in awhile. I started a new job at the beginning of the year, so I haven’t had a real vacation in quite awhile.

Not every week can be amazing and full of exciting stuff. In fact, a handful of weeks a year sounds about right to me. Lol!
I think we all need breaks from our routines, probably more frequently than we actually get them.

Looks like you’ve got a great collection of new books, Trish, I hope you have a good week. x

Getting stuck in a routine can get depressing at times. I hope you are able to plan that much needed getaway/vacation. Good job on working out daily. I’m seriously slacking in that department and have gained weight. Your book haul looks exciting. Especially, No Escape! That one sounds like a scary, on the edge of your seat, page turner! I hope you have a wonderful weekend Trish 🙂

Yeah that stinks when you are in a rut and you do the same routine day in and day out. A break is definitely what you need! Hopefully you can take some time off in June and do whatever you want to do!!
