Top Ten Tuesday : 10 favourite books from the last 10 years

May 28, 2019 TTT 19

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  This weeks theme is 10 favourite books from the last 10 years.

10 favourite books from the last 10 years

This post nearly broke me.  I wrote them out in a notebook first, and you should see the amount of crossing out and adding in.  And I’m still leaving out so many authors I love.  But after much MUCH deliberation, here’s my final 10.  Ok, I lied, I snuck an extra one in.

I have to give honourable mentions to Marian Keyes, Liane Moriarty, Jane Harper, Cara Hunter, Lucinda Riley, and so many others. I love too many authors and books, and this was an impossible task.

I'm still agonising over this weeks #TopTenTuesday of 10 favourite books from the last 10 years. Did you love any of my final choices? Or my honourable mentions? Click To Tweet

All Your Perfects is one I’ve been debating for a while. I’ve got a back log of Colleen Hoover on the kindle that I just can’t bring myself to read… Her books tend to gut me!

  2. Kathryn Trask

A huge yes to A Thousand Roads Home, it was so good, a book that fully remains in my mind is a good one. I liked The Great Alone but not big time love for it like Carmel Harrington’s book.

I pretty much need to read all of these except The Lake House and the only reason I don’t want to read that is because I’ve already read it! I have The Likeness by Tana French coming up on my reading last this year and I’m really looking forward to it.

As much as I loved All Your Perfects, it wasn’t one of my favorites from Colleen Hoover. Still excellent but I never felt a real connection like I do with so many of her other books/characters. As much as I adore Kristin Hannah, I still haven’t read The Great Alone. I need to start it soon!
