The Sunday Post : Get your bookish news – Spring is in the Air

March 31, 2019 meme, The Sunday Post 18

Welcome to The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kim the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  Grab a cuppa and let me bend your ear (eyes?) for a few minutes with all my bookish news.   What makes me happiest this week is that Spring is in the Air and I’ve got a spring in my step.

Between My Sundays – what happened this week

I feel like it’s been forever since I wrote a Sunday Post, so hello if I haven’t spoken to you for a while.  Or welcome, if it’s your first time here.

Spring is in the Air!

Finally Spring is here and it has really put a spring in my step this year.  Now that it’s arrived, I’ve realised what a funk I’ve been in, but the extra light and more time outdoors has revitalised me.  So happy that I’m feeling like myself again.

Normally even during winter, I run or walk a lot outdoors, so the lack of light doesn’t affect me.  But this year, as I was injured, that didn’t happen.  Instead I hibernated, and it doesn’t suit me.  I’m building back up to running again, with a mixture of walk/running.  Can’t deny, I’m a bit scared, as I fell while running, and I’m still traumatised by just what I went through.  But I’m not letting fear win.

What I’m Watching

On Netflix, I’m watching Friends From College; I just love it! All the crazy, over the top antics are hilarious, and I snort my way through it.  And it’s an easy watch, just what I need at the moment.

Plus I’m counting down the days for Game of Thrones.

Any other recommendations for me?  My favourite shows are Sons of Anarchy, Call The Midwife and Homeland, just to give you an idea of what I’m in to.

I won an Audiobook!

Delighted with my win over at Maureens Books.  The book was sponsored by The Caffeinated Reviewer and I went with Kim’s recommendation.  Can’t wait to listen to it soon.

I already had a paperback of The Great Alone, but I wanted the audiobook too.  Fantastic read, I’m still in a book hangover from it.

Wow,the outside is so beautiful! We actually still had a heavy snowfall three days ago xD not kidding! But it’s finally getting to where it kind of looks like spring, although there’s still a long way to go till we have grass and flowers 🙂

We could easily get snow still, so I’m just enjoying each day as it comes! I love when everything is blooming, it’s so uplifting.

  2. Lindy@ A Bookish Escape

I’m glad spring is here, and the light and outdoors is doing me good as well. I’m glad your not letting fear win! I hope you heal from your injury 🙂 Congrats on winning an audio book! It looks good!

  3. Laurel-Rain Snow

Gorgeous spring photos! I love daffodils. Now I’ll be looking around, hoping to see some.

Enjoy your books. I loved The Great Alone. I think I may have the Rosie Walsh book with a different title (Ghosted).

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  4. Kathryn Trask

Nice to win an audio. Oh my The Great Alone sounds good on audio. I read it but in a year or two the audio will be good. I spy a book I bought last year off the local bookshelf on a whim but haven’t read it yet! A Room at the Manor.

  5. Angela

Wow, you have way more flowers around than we do right now! I’m glad spring is here, though, I always feel better in the spring.

  6. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

And those pictures are why I love books set in Ireland. It’s so gorgeous and green and the tulips are past perfection! I’m loving Yoga with Adriene! I’ve been doing her videos for years but this year I’ve been doing them almost every day and it’s been wonderful. Hope you’re having a great week!
