The Sunday Post : Get your bookish news – all the books

November 11, 2018 meme, The Sunday Post 15

Welcome to The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kim the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  Grab a cuppa and let me bend your ear (eyes?) for a few minutes with all my bookish news. Full disclosure time, I’ve gone a bit crazy with all the books this week.

Between My Sundays – what happened this week

All the books!

There is nothing like a Sunday Post to wake you up to the reality of just how many books you’ve acquired in a single week.  A few book shop buys, a scattering of sneaky kindle bargains, some NetGalley must haves, an audible sale, and suddenly I’m drowning in books.  Again.  So you know what this means?  I think a book ban might be on the way.

Humerus Update

I’ve an X-ray tomorrow and eekkk , I’m so nervous.  All I want is to get the brace off.  Well that and start driving again, put my arm in to a sleeve and have a proper shower, the little things that I used to take for granted.  It feels stronger, but also more painful now that I’m using it a little more.

HoHoHo Readathon

Of course I’m joining in Kim’s annual Christmas readathon.  Right now, I’ve a Christmas playlist on Spotify, lashings of hot chocolate and a stack of Christmas books. Basically, #HoHoHoRAT is the most wonderful readathon of the year!  Even better is that all my books this year are full of Christmas cheer and they have done the best job of putting me in to a great mood.

Good luck with your x-ray! Adele Parks is one of my favourite writers but I haven’t read her in a while, I Invited Her In looks like a good place to pick up again.

Something in the Water looks awesome, and I’m thinking of getting In the dark. It looks like a good thriller. 🙂

Have fun with the readathon, and hope you’re able to get the brace off soon!

All of your books look so tempting…and I can relate to that feeling we get when we are surrounded by new books. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog. I hope you are soon completely healed and loving the ordinary things in life.

Good luck with the Ho-Ho-Ho-a-thon. I don’t read too many holiday themed books, although, they always make me happy when I do. More power to you and your Christmas Spotify list. I am one of those almost-purists: no Christmas before Thanksgiving (except Hallmark holiday movies, because I love them too much). I hope your x-ray goes well, and happy healing!

You certainly had a good book haul. I hope to get the Marilla book from the library. Hope that elbow of yours heals well and you able to use it fully soon.

A Book Ban.. Yes, I’m with you! I’m starting to think I need one too. I’ve been requesting and buying book like crazy lately. Not good!! Especially with Christmas coming up. I need my money for Christmas presents, not books. Sigh..
Your new books do look great though. 😉
    I hope you’re still enjoying #HoHoHoRAT, I sure am.
    Happy reading!
