TWITTERESQUE REVIEWS: 3 Twisty Thrillers REVIEWED IN 140 CHARACTERS OR LESS!

December 6, 2017 Book review 7 ★★★★

Twitteresque reviews are for books where I never wrote a full review but I want to give you a flavour of how I felt during the book. All in 140 characters or less!  Today I want to share 3 Twisty Thrillers that gave my mind a workout chasing after all the curveballs.

TWITTERESQUE REVIEWS: 3 Twisty Thrillers

Do you like twisty thrillers that you keep you on the edge of your seat, reading as fast as you can?  I do!  And these 3 books had shockers in them that messed with my mind.  Basically I read this genre for the chills, the thrills and the what-the-hells, and I loved how they all delivered.  But I’m always petrified of spoilers especially in suspense novels, so I’m hoping twitteresque reviews work well here.

Are You Brave Enough To Go Back?
Kate Rafter is a successful war reporter. She's the strong one. The one who escaped Herne Bay and the memories it holds. Her sister Sally didn't. Instead, she drinks. But when their mother dies, Kate is forced to return to the old family home. And on her first night she is woken by a terrifying scream.
What secret has Kate stumbled upon?
And is she strong enough to uncover the truth . . . and make it out alive?

Review: An intriguing, deceptive thriller. OK, I did find it slow at the start, but I loved how it all pulled together in ways I was not expecting.

Your husband goes out to buy a newspaper. He never comes back.
Months later, an unexpected phone call puts you and your daughter in unimaginable danger.
Even if he were still alive, your husband can't save you now.
He told you way too many lies for that.

Review : One engaging domestic noir that had me zooming through pages as quickly as I could.  And phew that ending!  Yelps!

DI Ellen Kelly is at the top of her game - at least she was, until she took the law into her own hands and confronted her husband's killer. Now she's back at work, leading the investigation into the missing child. Her superiors are watching her; the distraught family is depending on her. Ellen has a lot to prove. And she knows it.

A tense thriller that stalks the urban streets of southeast London and the bleak wildernes of the North Kent coast, Hunting Shadows introduces the forceful, compromised police detective, DI Ellen Kelly.

Review : An interesting detective series with a strong female lead.  Loved the curve ball ending that made me rethink what happened earlier in the book.
