Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I hope Santa has in his Sack for me

December 19, 2017 TTT 32

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and Bookish, and it’s a listers dream post!  Today I’m sharing the Top Ten Books I hope Santa has in his Sack for me.

Top Ten Books I hope Santa has in his Sack for me

Dear Santa, please understand that I really really want all these books.  BUT I can’t promise I’ll sit down and read them straightaway.  You see, I’m a bookworm who loves collecting books almost as much as I love reading them.  I thrive on walking into my book room and seeing my shelves full of books waiting for me.   Full of potential and with the promise of being a new favourite.  And I love choice, the deliberating of what book to read, each more tempting than the next.

Books remain the present that keeps on giving long after the Christmas decorations get packed away in the attic for another year.  Oh, and vouchers and bookish themed items are good too!  Basically just chuck books or bookish items at me, and I’m content.

This year I’ve chosen books by authors that I already love.  Seems like a simple formula for choosing a book that I’ll appreciate.  As always, they represent lots of genres as my bookish motto is anything goes!

Talk to Trish:  Have you read any of these?  Do any catch your eye?  What book is top of  your Christmas wishlist?

Yummy, yummy books, hope Santa is good to you!! The Girl in Times Square is an all time fav of mine, I want to do a reread but am a little nervous it won’t be so good second time round. Sometimes its the right book and the right moment, but not so much next time. But I will and see. I have The Great Alone on reservation at the library – No.6 on list after it publishes and they put it in the library so down the track a little! I’ve read all the books of The Seven Sisters up to the one that recently published. They do get a bit rambly and long so I think will read them from now on rather than listen but I do enjoy them.

Ohh that’s great to hear that you love The Girl in Times Square so much! Now I’m even more excited to read that. Thanks for that tip on the Seven Sisters series, I think I’ll go ebook format so.

You have some great picks here. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is one of my favourite books of 2017 and The Girl in Times Square is also a really good read. I read that one years back. Might re-read in 2018!
