The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kim the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Grab a cuppa and let me bend your ear (eyes?) for a few minutes with all my bookish news. It’s Halloween weekend, so I’ll be cuddling up with yummy trick or treat goodies and scaring the pants off myself with creepy books, podcasts and films.
Between My Sundays – what happened this week
Trick or Treat?
Treats all the way! I had a fun week this week, as I only worked half the week. We headed off for a night away, and enjoyed the luxury of time to just chill.
I also ran loads this week, including my first 10K so far this year. Chuffed with myself. Due to some medical issues, my running has been stop/start all year. But I’m finally able to get properly back into in it and start working up my distances. One of my runs was more of an obstacle course though as there is still evidence that Hurricane Ophelia rattled through here the previous week.
Plus I’ve started Yoga. I’m using a free app called Down Dog, and trying to teach myself the moves. I struggle with sleeping, so I’m hoping yoga will help with this. If anyone has yoga recommendations that I can do at home (books or YouTube), let me know.
What I’m watching:
The Great British Bake Off: I thought it wouldn’t be the same this year without Mary Berry and with different presenters. But I have to admit, I’m loving it as much as ever. The humour still sparkles, the showstoppers break, the bakers are still nervously on the knees watching their bakes in the over. And I love it!
Strangers Things! Eeekkkk. Finally season 2 is here.
What I’m Listening to:
My husband has convinced me to listen to The Black Tapes podcast as he loves it. It seems appropriate for Halloween. Expect screams, and nervous jumps as I’m a wimp! Anyone else listened to it?

Books I have received to review:
How excited am I to get my hands on Holly Bournes’s first adult novel. Very VERY VERY excited!
I’m currently reading The Betrayals. Hmmhh, I’m not sure. It started off great but it’s not overly exciting me now.
And it’s about time I read another Jo Spain. Because I loved her first book, but somehow never read anymore. Delighted to rectify that now.
Books I have bought:
I downloaded Pause to Rewind for free on Amazon. I love this author, so I was delighted to see it as a freebie.
I’m rereading all the books in the Little House series via audiobooks. Such a heart-warming series, I never get tired of it.
And I’ve finished The Dark Lake. Wow! Heads up to all fans of police procedural thrillers, Sarah Bailey is the new author in town, and she is one to watch!
Calling that a wrap on this week. Happy Reading to all.
