The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kim the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Grab a cuppa and let me bend your ear (eyes?) for a few minutes with all my bookish news. And fill you in on my August Projects.

Between My Sundays – what happened this week
Happy August folks but seriously what happened to July. I feel like I was in a movie with pages of a calendar flipping over furiously to show time flying by. August was a good reading month as I loved more books than I hated. And fell passionately in love with Kate Morton’s books.

My August Projects
There are a few things that I’m working on for August. My not so secret August Projects.
Writing
I have decided to try to improve my writing. Firstly, I started some online courses on Skillshare. I hadn’t heard of Skillshare before but it was recommended to me and I got 3 months membership for $0.99 (note – that’s an affiliate link but I love what I’ve seen AND it’s a great deal). Then, I ordered some books on writing from the library. I’ve never done this before and it all seems very exciting and challenging. Fingers crossed that it will show in my reviews in time to come. Just to be clear, I still have no interest in writing fiction but I’d love to write this blog to the very best of my ability.
Decorating
We’ve been doing home decorating. By we, I mean my husband. I just pin all the things on pinterest and then leave it all up to him. Our house is already feeling very different and we are only half way through. Mostly, I can’t wait till it’s finally all done and I can breath a sign of relief that all our plans worked out ok.
Photography
So far all I’ve done with my fancy new camera is use the ‘auto’ button. In August, I plan to experiment more. Again I’m going to try some online classes on Skillshare. Probably what will really happen though is I’ll just press all the buttons and see what happens!

So, that’s my week wrapped up. Happy Reading to all.
Talk to Trish: How was your week? Any photography tips for me?
Christy LoveOfBooks
Oh my gosh, yes! July flew by. I can’t even believe the first week of August is gone. Crazy! You have some great goals! I’m terrible with photography. I just point and click, and have no idea what all the other functions are. Ahhh Red Rising! ope you read it soon. Love that series. Have a great week!

Good luck with the photography, and with your writing too! Sounds like fun projects. 🙂 Like your Instagram pic- The Invisible Library was quite good, I thought. Hope you enjoy it too.
Have a fabulous week Trish!

Lots of great things going on in August!! My intention was always to learn about my fancy camera but I still just use auto!! Enjoy your new book and have a great week!

That is one of the things I love about my Kindle. Traveling was always panic inducing because how many books should I bring? I definitely didn’t want to be unprepared but how many books should I bring? Hours went into that! I’m off to check out Skillshare. I’m looking at adding some kind of learning for me while the Tornado is at school but haven’t really found the right fit. Great library haul! I’ve read one Kate Morton – The Forgotten Garden – and absolutely loved it. I really want to read more. Have a great week.

I think there was one day in July in which I thought the month was really dragging, and then by the end, I thought it went by too fast. Now it’s August and the end is coming way too fast for comfort. So many big changes coming this month!
I keep thinking I need to focus on home decorating. I have ideas! That’s as far as I’ve gotten though. LOL
The Invisible Library! I really need to read that one.
I hope you have a great week!

It saddens me that HP is getting negative reviews, it really does! I wanted to read it but after all the reviews I don’t want to ruin it. Enjoy the rest of your books, Red Rising has been on my TBR for so long, I hope you like it!

Looks like you had a good month with 4 books that you gave a 5 star! And reading more books you enjoy than don’t is always a good thing.
When you mentioned writing I thought you wanted to write a book at first, but that’s interesting it’s for your blog and I am curious to see if we’ll see the change in your writing on your blog. Good luck with all your projects for august!
I don’t think I am going to read the new Harry Potter book, I am afraid it would ruin my feeling for the series and I don’t want that. Sorry to hear you thought it was just ok. I heard good things about the Invisible Library. I hope August will be a great month for you!

Thanks for sharing my discussions! It’s great that you’re working on your writing skills, I keep threatening to write more but can’t find the time/motivation at the minute (I would love to write a novel, or anything at all!).

It does sound like you had a great reading month! And how great that you’re taking a course and getting books to work on your writing!
You cracked me up with your comment about how your husband is redecorating and you’re just pinning stuff lol.
By the way, pressing all the buttons and seeing what happens is basically how I learn everything, so I say go for it with the photography, haha. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

Dang, you’ve been busy! And yes, July flew by. I swear time moved slower when I was a child but as an adult, it just whips right by. That’s funny that your husband is the decorator, so often it’s the female. Will you share before and after pics?
Good luck with your writing and photography. 🙂
Let's Get Beyond Tolerance
I’d love to get a nice camera today and really learn more about photography. That’s exciting that you are trying to write better. I’m sure it will really help with the blog!

Just had a wee peek at Skillshare, an interesting looking site. Nice to have hubby making some renovations, while a little disruptive will be lovely when they are all completed.

I’d be interested in taking some writing courses, too – I spent far too long in academia writing long-winded essays, and getting to the point in my blog posts can be a bit of a challenge for me! 🙂
Heather @ Random Redheaded Ramblings
Sounds like you have been busy! I hate decorating and at this moment in time I am freezing from holding the ladder whilst my hubby painted the side of the house.
I am gonna check out the blogger burnout post, the hellish pit of doom sounds good!
