HoHoHo, it’s readathon time and of course I had to drag out the ‘poem’ I wrote in its honour two years ago. Apologies in advance for my ridiculousness but it’s the season to be cheesy, right? 🙂
Twas the month before Christmas, and all through bloggy-land
Not a creature was stirring, just as hoped and planned.
We had hunted on Goodreads for books full of cheer,
In sure and certain knowledge that HoHoHo was finally here.
The bloggers snuggled down on sofas and on beds,
And all sorts of Christmas tales lived out in our heads.
And some with their rereads and some with new buys
But all had a fab read-a-thon with many happy sighs!
Ho-Ho-Ho, it’s read-a-thon time!
But not just any old read-a-thon, nope this is the seasonal one to get us all in the holiday mood. In all honesty, I can tend to be a Christmas Grinch but by joining HoHoHo, I read myself right in to the Christmas mood and I’m hoping to do the same again this year. I’ve a Christmas playlist all ready on spotify, I’ve got lashings of hot chocolate and I’ve got the stack of Christmas books. It’s the most wonderful readathon of year and I’m ready to get my festive read on!
The read-a-thon is hosted by Jennifer @ Bawdy Book Blog and Kimba @ The Caffeinated Reviewer. Want to join in? Then head on over to one of the hosts blogs and sign up. And there are challenges and prizes too but best of all; a chance to make new bloggy friends.
Ho-Ho-Ho to read list:
I’m making a list and checking it twice. Going to check out which books are naughty or nice 🙂 And look at those covers, they just ooze sweet Christmas feels.
Driving Home for Christmas : I bought this one last year with my Christmas vouchers and I’m looking forward to reading it at long last. It just didn’t feel right to read it during the year.
Christmas at Lilac Cottage: This is an author I’ve seen good reviews for but I haven’t read her before, so I’m looking forward to checking this one out.
Every time a bell rings: I love Carmel Harrington’s books, her characters are fab and always inspire me. This one is based on my favourite Christmas film too – It’s a Wonderful Life – so I’m doubly excited.
Watch this space!
Talk to Trish: Are you taking part, if so leave your link so I can come say ho ho ho, I mean hello! Or if you have a favourite holiday read, get in the holiday sharing mood by sharing the title with me so I can check it out!
