The Bloggiesta 2015: Getting Bloggy with it!

September 18, 2015 Blogging 32

It’s bloggiesta time!  And it has really fallen at a perfect time for me as the Rugby World Cup has just started and hubby is glued to it.  I have zero interest and so have all the time to invest in my blog this weekend.  If you have a blog and the time this weekend too, click the picture below to check out the full details for the event.

I’ve also just gotten a new blog design and it has really motivated me to get stuck into my blog and putting lots of ticks through that relentless to-do list.

And as you can see, my planner has been anticipating this weekend too and I’ve made sure to keep it reserved for blogging time.  Lots of time to blog feels like such a luxury and I can’t wait to get started.  I think I’ll be spending some of it too in a coffee shop doing a DIY Blogging Retreat and chilling out in style!

Thanks Michelle, I’m really happy with the new design and it’s making me want to spend lots of time on my blog which is great! 🙂

Thanks Shaina! I’m in love with my new design! I think the designer did a fab job and I love how many elements just fit me exactly (the book (of course!), being outside, the cat, the comfy clothes, the flat shoes! It’s all me to a tee!

I am just loving your new blog design! So pretty and clean, and tempting to explore all your tabs and links– good choice 🙂
Good luck on your Bloggiesta; I didn’t even know about it when I redid my own blog, but I could’ve fit right in with you folks!

Again, congrats, I love the header and the crispness of it all. And again… I have planner envy!!!! Will have to order an Erin Condren planner early to get it for next year.

Thanks Rita, yes I’m really happy with how clean it looks too. And the colours are very muted which is different to what I had previously but I’m enjoying the change.

I haven’t ordered next years planner yet either but I will soon. By the way if you do order an EC one, make sure you google for promo codes, there always seems to be $10 off on offer so might as well avail, right!?

I’m a planner nerd and use my planner for blogging and fitness related stuff mostly. So bloggiesta had to go in there 😀

Thanks Bea! I know it’s a huge change but I love how it feels. Clean was the look I was going for and I’m delighted with how it turned out. 🙂

      “Bring it. Whoo!
      Unh, unh, unh, unh
Hoo cah cah. Hah hah, hah hah”

LOL, you’re welcome! I find my planner is really useful, I use it just for blog and fitness stuff but it keeps me on track. I like being old school with it too as I find planning with pen and paper to be more relaxing.

I am hoping to join in next time! I always seem to hear about this event when it’s already started, but I have the dates for the next ones written in my calendar now. It sounds like a great event to get even more motivated to do some blogging work!

I did get some blogging work done this week though and tweaked my about me page as well, just like you I like to keep it updated. I added colouring to my list about hobbies and changed one or two sentcens slightly, but it’s good to keep it current. Just like my review policy, I tweak things once in a while to keep it up to date.

Removing no longer active blogs always makes me sad too, I have to go through my bloglovin feed soon to remove some no longer active ones as I feel like there are a lot of them.

I didn’t get quite as much done during Bloggiesta as I thought as I wasn’t in the mood on Saturday. But I’ve a few free hours this morning so I’m finishing off some tasks now. It’s a great event as knowing everyone else is working away on their own plugs just makes me want to get stuck in too. I’m the same, my about me page changed very slightly and the same with my review policy but I like to check in on them as both are two of the most read pages on any blog.
Yes it’s sad removing those blogs, I hope that some of them will return as some were favs of mine.
