So many things are rocking my world lately and I thought I’d start a new feature and share them with you every month. And I’m calling it pick ‘n’ mix as this is going to be totally random and you might see anything on here!
The only link is that I’m loving them!

Unreal

I saw recommendations for Unreal from a few different book bloggers and I was in need of a new show so I gave this one ago. Now bear in mind I’ve never seen The Batchelor and as the show is based on a reality show like that one, I wasn’t sure what I’d think of it. But I loved every dysfunctional minute of it! It is crazy, has a fab cast, is very addictive and I watched the entire series over 3 days.
Sushi:

Sushi is one of treats when I feel like something special. As you might have seen from my Trish Transforms posts, I’m on a quest to lose weight so I love that this treat feels indulgent but still helps me stay on plan. I buy mine in Marks and Spencers and they are yumalicious!
Apple Picking and Blackberry picking:

We have a few miniature apple trees in our garden and at this time of year, it’s exciting to go pick our own apples. They are eating apples but being honest, they are not the sweetest. So I stew them up and use them as topping for my porridge. Nothing like growing and cooking your own food to make you feel all self-sufficient. The other topping is blackberries which I picked on my walks and then froze.
Downton Abbey:

If there is anything that says Autumn more than Sunday evenings curled up, warm and snug by the fire, than watching Downton Abbey then I don’t know what that is. I’m so sad that as this is the final session that this is the last time, I get to experience that. Guess I’ll just have to make the most of it until it ends.
Penneys Pyjamas!

I also love when the weather is cool enough to slip back in to pyjamas! They are by far the most comfortable outfit for chilling around the house in before bed, when everything is done and you are just winding down for the night. I always go to Penneys for mine (Primark everywhere else in the world except Ireland). They are cheap as chips, super cute and make me feel snug as a bug in a rug!
Talk to Trish: What are you listening to, watching, eating, etc that you are loving? I love nothing better than finding a little something that I can look forward to indulging myself with so don’t be shy with your recommendations.
Leanna
Glad to hear you liked Unreal! Those PJ’s are very cute! 🙂

Unreal was deadly! Loved how dysfunctional they all were! And you can’t beat Penneys for pjs 🙂
Emma
I think I’m the only person in the world who hasn’t seen Downton. Agree with you on PJs though, it is so the right time of year for them.

Downton is perfect chill out TV. I’m fascinated with that era anyway but I love the Upstairs Downstairs divide and all the characters. Such a feel good program, you should try it sometime!
PJs for the win 😀
Greg
Yay for blackberries (and blueberris too- my favorite)! It’s nice to pick them rather than have to buy them. 🙂
And isn’t it nice all the shows that are out now- so much variety? And binge watching has to be the coolest thing ever LOL.

I’m so lucky that blackberries grow in abundance in the ditches all around me! It makes me feel like I’m winning to pick and freeze them all, as I’m saving a fortune!
I’m such a fan of binge watching shows, it’s the best! And yes I love how the standard in TV series has risen so much as I love getting to know characters and following along with them. It works so much better than a film for me.

I love the pajamas! And apples and blackberries. I love sushi but since I developed a shrimp allergy (or it got bad enough that I have to pay attention to it) I’ve been a little scared of it because so much shrimp is used that I worry about contamination. I’ve heard Unreal is fantastic and one of these days I’m going to watch it. Love this post!

Cosy PJs are the best! And I think what you call shrimp is what we call prawns, this language barrier can be troublesome sometimes! I think it’s a pretty common allergy but it’s annoying that you can’t eat something that you previously enjoyed. And Unreal is a hot mess and I loved it!

Yay for Fall and comfy pjs at night. I wish it got cold here, but it gets cooler at nights at least. Very cute ones!
I will have to check out whether I get Unreal here on any channel or streaming site. Sounds like a fun way to unwind and rest my brain, lol.
I love berries and they’re a superfood, so more power to them. Also lots of good fiber.
My son eats sushi in almost any form. I enjoy the California Rolls (cooked form) with seaweed wrapper, rice, avocado, carrot etc, sometimes shrimp or salmon. That’s the extent of my daring.
Have a great week!

It doesn’t get crazy cold here but it does get cool enough to snuggle up in cozy winter clothes which I love! I hope you can find Unreal, it’s a hot mess of a show and I loved how crazy they all were! I’m the same about berries, I love them and it’s good to find a delicious food that is also healthy! 🙂 California Rolls sound fab, I need to try them sometime.

I love sushi myself <3 and cannot wait to rope in the husband to go apple picking. Love fall!

We only have 4 miniature apple trees so our apple picking didn’t take very long! But I’d like to visit a nearby apple farm someday to pick some as it’s good fun.
Lola
I like sushi, but only a few flavours, the egg sushi and cucumber ones are my favourite. We have a good sushi chain restaurant around here, I’ve eaten there once earlier this year, but haven’t gotten a chance to visit again. They also sell it in the supermarket, but it’s crazily expensive there.
That must be so awesome to have your own apple trees. I really like apples and putting them in dishes or bakings. And having them fresh from the tree must be even better.
I could use some new pyjama’s, I spend most of my days in pyjama’s as I work from home. We have a Primark close by since recently, so I’ll have to stop by soon to see if they sell pyjama’s here too.

I like trying different types of sushi but haven’t tried an egg one. I’ll keep an eye out for that is it sounds interesting.
We only have 4 miniature trees but it’s fun when we get to pick our little crop and then cook them up.
I love Primark and I think you can’t beat them for affordable clothes. I always end up buying something whenever I visit.

YES for Unreal!!! It was the best and can’t wait for season 2. I love sushi but the hubby doesn’t so I rarely get it. We have been doing apple picking at a nearby orchard so I am making tons of applesauce and apple muffins and apple pancakes and you get the idea!! YAY for comfy PJs – they are the best!!!

I’ve only gotten a real taste for fish over the last few years but now I love it. And as you do too, then you have to try sushi! It’s just so tasty and it’s an added bonus that it’s health too 🙂
Bookworm Brandee
Ooh, this is a great idea for a post. I don’t watch tv but I’m glad you’ve found a show you’re enjoying. The apples and blackberries made me want to make an apple crumble. We pick wild raspberries here but the season is over. *sigh* Oh, and I love getting to wear warm pj’s! The ones you pictured are adorable. 😀 Let’s see…I just finished binging on Dannika Dark’s Seven series in audio…so that’s something I really enjoyed over the last month. And I’ve been making pumpkin chocolate chip muffins because I love pumpkin and my hubs only lets me bake pumpkin anything in the fall. 😀

I wanted to make apple crumble too but I ended up just stewing it all and not leaving enough to make a crumble. I think we’ll have to pay a visit to a nearby apple farm and pick some more! And wild raspberries sound delish!
Pumpkin chocolate chip muffins just sounds amazing, I’m drooling just thinking about those combinations! YUM! 😀

Ow men.. I loooooooove Sushi!!! It’s just so good! I can eat it everyday 😀 I’m also really a pajama girl.. I love wearing them and they really make me feel relaxed!! These are really cute.
Love this new post idea 😉

Love the jammies. I’m getting ready to switch my summer ones for fall ones. Whew it got cold fast here!
Apple picking looks fun! And yummy! 😀

I’m with you, jammies are the best! I love how cozy and chillaxed they make me feel.
Apple picking didn’t take long as we only had 4 miniature trees but it certainly was tasty!

I love pyjamas. I will change into them when I get home from work at 2pm if I can, but I try to hold out until about 5pm in case anyone decides to knock on the door lol it’s starting to shift into summer here though, which is a bit disappointing – there’s nothing as snuggly as winter pyjamas!
Apples! I’ve been thinking about planting an apple tree somewhere in our yard, I love tart ones (with cheese and mustard if I’m feeling indulgent) mmmm.

I can only put on pjs about an hour before I go to bed as I’d be mortified to get caught wearing them if someone called! So it makes me laugh when I see some people out and about in theirs!
Our apple trees are miniature ones and they look really cute. They do give a surprisingly big crop too for the size of them. Ohhhhh….apples, cheese and mustard sounds like a combo I HAVE to try 😀

Great post. Where did you get your owl glass? I am loving watching supergirl, eating loads of stews and soups because the weather is horrible. I have also been obsessed with orange flavour any thing eating, smelling, any thing.
