December 30: Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward To In 2015

December 2, 2014 meme 21

I’m only an ad-hoc joiner on Top Ten Tuesday posts hosted by The Broke and the Bookish but as a lister when I see great titles like this weeks one, I have to join in.  This is one of those incredibly hard posts to narrow down to 10 because I have so many books I want to read including zillions already released.

top 10

The Ones from Series I’ve already started!

The Winner’s Crime : I enjoyed but didn’t flat out adore The Winner’s Curse.  Still I was intrigued by the politics and scheming.  Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Blue Lily, Lily Blue and also Book 4 : I adore this series.  I have Blue Lily, Lily Blue but have put it aside as part of my Christmas pressie to me from me!

The ones that just look/sound GREAT!

Red Queen : The early reviews I’ve read about this YA fantasy series have sold it to me.  Complex world-builidng with a dark tone.  I’m in!

The Orphan Queen : I’ve heard great things about Jodi Meadows but haven’t tried any of her books yet.  The synopsis of this one sounds great though.

The ones from favourite authors:

Confess : I’ll basically buy anything by Colleen Hoover; she breaks my feels but I love her anyway.

Vanishing Girls : I adore Lauren Oliver’s prose.  I think she has such a unique way of phrasing and is on my auto-buy list.

The Fill In Boyfriend : Because no one does cute and sardonic contemporary like Kasie West.

The Pre 2015 books that I STILL haven’t read:

A Game of Thrones : I own the book, adore the TV show.  WHY haven’t I made time to read the book yet. Hopefully I will in 2015.

Cress and Scarlet : Again I own them *weeps for all the neglected books on my to-read pile* I need to make time for these.  I just adored Cinder and everyone says these are even better.

Ah, we share a ton of these in common! I’m excited for athe Fill in boyfriend, Cress, Scarlet (need to read both!) and you already know I enjoyed A Game of Thrones. Just give yourself plenty of time to read it. I found it enjoyable and was nice I wasn’t rushed into finishing 😉 Im also stoked forRed Queen! Great list

Give me a shout when you are reading Scarlet, I’ll do a buddy read with you. I think Red Queen sounds amazing and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. And of course Kasie West, have you read Pivot Point yet? I’m dying to see what you think of that one. Hopefully I will tackle into GOT next year, I KNOW I’ll love it (I already do just from the show).

Great picks! You’ve got quite a few on your list that are on my own – The Winner’s Crime, The Orphan Queen, Confess and The Fill-In Boyfriend. And some that I forgot to mention – Vanishing Girls and The Red Queen. 2015 is going to be a great year for books, I can’t wait. I hope you enjoy them all when you finally get to read them 🙂 Here’s my STS.

We’ve obviously got similar taste 🙂 You’re right there are some fantastic books coming next year, can’t wait! Fingers crossed we love them all.

I’m saving Blue Lily, Lily Blue for Christmas Day as I always try to keep a special book to read that evening and this is my most anticipated book of the year. So fingers crossed I’ll love it as much as you did.
Looks like 2015 is shaping up to be a pretty great reading year 🙂

Yes CoHo, all the CoHo books. I’m so excited she has 3 coming out next year and I know they’ll all be auto buys for me.

Such a cliche to say this but it’s true! So many books, so little time! How can we fit all the great ones in 🙂

  3. Alma @ Journey Through Fiction

I loved both Cinder and Scarlet! I haven’t got around to reading Cress just yet, but with Winter set to be released at the end of next year, I don’t feel too much of a rush (unless you take into account Fairest being released! Definitely need to read that one too!) I have to start the Raven Cycle! I have the first book sitting on my shelves, so no excuses anymore 🙂

And Red Queen! I have to admit that I fell in love with the cover the first time I saw it 🙂 Fab list, Trish, hope you love all of them when you read them!

I can’t wait to crack on the with The Lunar Series, I loved Cinder and I have no idea why it has taken me so long to move on to Scarlet. The Raven Cycle is my favourite series EVER and I hope you love it too 🙂

  4. Berls

Winner’s Crime and Red Queen are definites for me! I’m also dying for Fairest, about Queen Lavana from the Lunar Chronicles series (you really must read them!). I need to check out your other books, I don’t think I know them.

I have Winner’s Crime on my kindle calling me so I’d say I might just sneak it in before 2015! And I LOVED Cinder so I have no idea why it has taken me so long to get back to this series but when I do I’m going to binge on Scarlet and Cress together. Fairest sounds great too.
