Second Chance Sunday – What caught my eye.  Why not go Sunday visiting?!

Stormy @ Book Blog Bake talks about being a Black Sheep reviewer at times

Tonyalee @ Lilybloombooks makes a special request to authors – Can I NOT get a HEA?

Angela @ Angela’s Anxious Life wants to know Do teens want to read YA Classics???

Have you seen the article where JK regrets putting Hermione and Ron together?  No!  No regrets allowed, it was perfect, it hurts my head to even think of any other pairing!  BUT now that I’m thinking about it, I’m not sure Ron was enough for Hermione.  No, make it stop!  I don’t want to think this!

Books I have received to review:

In the Blood

I have only read one book by Lisa Unger previously but it was dark, unpredictable and gritty.  Hoping for more of the same with this one!  Thanks to NetGalley and Simon Schuster UK.

Books I have bought:

None!  Jan ban is officially over but I’m hanging tough for a few more days!

One last piece of news, Between My Lines took the plunge on to facebook.  So if you use FB, please like my page if you like!

So that’s  my week wrapped up.  Happy Reading to all.

I’m shocking myself that I have gone 32 days without buying books (yep I’m counting!). I’m going to go on a crazy spree someday soon:O

The lip biting thing gets me every time. There is an exercise routine on Smart Bitches Trashy Books where you have to do squats or pushups every time a trope pops up. I tried but couldn’t get past about p30 on one book before I was exhausted.

You have really done well with your book buying ban. I don’t even try to do that! I am trying to buy books I think I might read sometime…not just because they’re really cheap!

The Lisa Unger book looks interesting. What was the other book you read by her?

Haha I love the picture! I saw the article from JK Rowling. No comment about it though!

No idea how I stuck it out so long but it really helped me to catch up a little. Of course I now want to go on a book spree so that might cancel it out :O

  4. Jenn @ A Glo-Worm Reads

Great job on the book buying ban! lol I’m on one as well, but it’s mostly because I don’t have the money for books at the moment.. 😉

I love the picture because it’s so true!

Any news Jenn??!! I’ve been thinking about you and wondering if babs has arrived.
That’s part of the reason for my ban too!

Oh yes! He decided to show up January 24th and things couldn’t have gone better (or quicker really) for delivery. He’s very adorable 🙂

I adore Lisa Unger’s books and have been stalking the Amazon site, tempted to download it, while asking myself if it might appear on the Amazon Vine newsletter…OMG. Enjoy!

I’m off to check out some of those linked sites.

That’s great Greg, I’ve read no reviews so I’m delighted to hear that! I know a book I read by her previously really impressed me so I’ve high hopes 🙂

I’m really looking forward to Lisa’s book as I have wanted to read more from her with a while. Dying to see if she is as original as I remember her first book being. And I’m very glad my ban is over now, it was HARD!

I make the facial expressions too! I use to love reading out-loud and acting out the scenes when I was younger, so it is kind of a left over from then I suppose. Sometimes if I’m really into the books I find myself giggling, gasping, or huffing with the characters. 😛
I hope you enjoy your week!

Haha, we must look ridiculous as we read! With me it’s something I do unconsciously, I wasn’t even aware until someone pointed it out to me. I’m very careful now when I read in public NOT to do this! 😮
