Seven Dystopias Awaiting

Pawn was my favourite dystopia that I read in 2013.  It was original, the world building was intriguing, the characters were engaging and the action was non-stop.

Allegiant wasn’t a favourite book but it is part of a favourite series so I have to include it.  It gave me all the feels and it felt satisfying to see how it all finished.

The Program was a book with oodles of plot holes but I was still sucked in. It kept me on the edge of my seat, reading nervously, always waiting for the axe to fall and I loved it!

Sky Song was an urban fantasy/sci fi book that took me by surprise with how much I enjoyed it. It’s unpredictable, fast flowing and gripping.

The Scorpio Races is unlike any other book I’ve ever read and I can’t praise it enough.   The words that spring to mind are original, captivating, beautiful and atmospheric.

Cinder was so good!  What did I love?  The plot, the characters, the magic of the fairy tale spin?  Well, yes, yes and yes!

Under the Never Sky is confusing as hell at the start.  But stick with it, it is an adventure well worth taking.

Happy Christmas!

You have great restraint Kim, I had to read Allegiant asap. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it when you get to it. Road Trip reading sounds fun 🙂

I just bought book 2 this week. I shouldn’t have left it so long but I’m really looking forward to it. Happy New Year Ana 🙂
