Twitteresque Book Reviews: Pivot Point, The 5th Wave, Amity & Sorrow

July 26, 2013 Book review, Twitteresque Reviews 0

Twitteresque reviews are for books where I don’t feel like writing a full review but I want to give you a flavour of how I felt during the book.  All in 140 characters or less!

Or you could call them lazy blogger reviews but doesn’t twitteresque sound better!  Yes, I think so too.

Gripping, exciting, riveting.  Adored normal & paranormal.  Hated leaving each life only to get immediately sucked into the alternative life.  Devoured in one sitting.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
My Rating : 3.5 out of 5 stars

Compelling, thoughtful, complex.  Too many multiple POV’s made me lose focus and broke my attachment to characters.   Great worldbuilding.  Kept me speculating.

Amity & Sorrow by Peggy Riley
My Rating : 1 out of 5 stars
Source : NetGalley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review

DNF.  Promising plot about escape from a cult but didn’t deliver.   Slow paced and too wordy.  I felt no connection with the characters.  Abandoned with relief after 33%

Bookish Chat : What do you think of these reviews, are they too short to be of any use?  And I mean what do you honestly think.  If you think they are pointless or underdeveloped, feel free to tell me.
