TTT : Characters I would Crush on if I were also a Fictional Character

April 2, 2013 meme, TTT 24

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by one of my favourite blogs – http://brokeandbookish.blogspot.ie – if you are not reading this blog, then you should be!

This weeks theme is Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character.
I have a feeling this was way too easy for me, they came flying straight out of my head like I had already though about this before!  So in NO particular order.
1.   Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables – my first fictional crush, loyal and dependable.
2.  Akiva from Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – apologies to Kelly who saw him first and staked a claim.  I don’t play fair and am prepared to elbow all others out of my way.  I want him 🙂
3.   Luke  from Rachel’s Holiday by Marian Keyes – he is a real man, not a feathery stroker.  I approve.
4.   Lucas from Easy by Tamara Webber – downright sexy and seems to be a bad boy but he is one of the good ones
5.   Will from Slammed by Coleen Hoover – he can write and perform slam poetry, enough said.
6.   Four from Divergent by Veronica Roth – sexy as hell, strong but silent type, given to quiet brooding, dark and mysterious.  Swoon!
7.   Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte – passionate, intense and …ahem…slightly insane.  Oh well, two out of three isn’t bad!
8.   Myron Bolitar from the Myron series books by Harlan Coben – witty, sarcastic, vulnerable and totally adorable.
9.   Alex from I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk – green eyes, floppy fringe, skinny jeans wearing musician.  Alex is cooler than cool and I heart him.
10. Roger from Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson – OK a little nerdy but in a good way, he loves history, is sensitive and he makes the best playlists.
Ok, now I feel like a bit of a loose woman with my 10 boyfriends!

Ahem. Yeah, girl, I have been beating chicks off with a stick for Akiva for over a year now. Bring it.

I love Lucas, too, but he didn’t quite make my list. Which isn’t up yet since it’s still technically Monday in the states, but it will be within the next hour.

      Just try it. >.>

But Barrons from the Fever series. He is AWESOME. The first book in the series isn’t great, but every other one is full of Barrons-y goodness.

oooh Will! Every girl deserves a Will in her life. He didn’t make a list or Lucas, but I agree about them. You added Heathcliff and I added Rochester on mine. 😀

I’ve heard of quite a lot of these though none of those books I’ve read. If I had I’d probably add them to my book boyfriend’s- that makes more than ten! As it is I’m owned by Box Tuesday. Hmm… You probably saw my post that included that lovely character! 😀 He really scored with me!
Gilbert however isn’t mine, or yours, he’s my Mum & Godmother’s! Don’t worry- I’ll be reading that book but not claiming him as mine. He’s clearly too old for me if those two want him 😉 I’m afraid if he’s loyal they are NOT in luck! Has Gilbert affected your opinion on the series a lot? How much does an awesome male impact your rating? Just thought I’d ask! I’m interested 😛

LOL Amy, tell your mum back off! I fell for Gilbert when I was about 11ish or so, my taste would be different now 🙂 I love AOGG’s just for the memories it gives me of reading as a child. Usually what affects my rating is a romance where I feel the characters are soulmates so that needs an awesome male and a great female too. When I get that I’m happy! I’m very character driven so I need characters I feel passionate about.

She laughed & I’ve had something else pointed out to me… If I was a fictional character they’d be the right age… I mean, did I think they’d like it if it was about a massive age difference between Anne & Gilbert? Nope! Between you & Gilbert? Probably! But that’s OK- it’s sweet it was childhood. I shouldn’t leave it too long then?
Yeah… It’s hard to hate the female even if you’re crushing on the boy! Must say that my favourite females aren’t dating my book boyfriends though… I do still like… say, Katniss. And Crystal (took Xavier from Benedicts) and Anna (OK… I love her even if she took Box my No. 1 boyfriend!)

I haven’t read a single one of these books! Eek! But hey, that means you can have them all because as far as I’m concerned they don’t exist in my mind! (Oh wait… they don’t really exist either way, do they? :P)

  5. Emily @ Falling For YA

I thought of Akiva and then decided I couldn’t put him on my list until I had read book 3, I just love Laini’s writing & characters though! Four is also on my list, I can’t wait to see how Theo does in the movie =D

Ah yes, Four is a great choice. Although he was a bit controlling/untrusting of Tris in book 2, but I hope he gets back to his normal awesome self in book 3!

  7. Nuzaifa @ Say It With Books

Oh I’ with regarding these 3-
Lucas from Easy – Oh yes yes!
Will from Slammed – Slam Poetry is definitely swoony! 😀
Four from Divergent – He’s definitely a fave, hope the movie turns out great!

You’ve just reminded me that Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables was one of my first literary crushes! I may have to find my well-worn copy and revisit the wonder that is Anne of Green Gables.
