TTT: Top Ten Books I Recommend The Most
This weeks theme is Ten Books that I recommend the most . I’m going to go with 7 only as this works better for me and I never was any good at following rules anyway.
1. Into The Woods by Tana French – one of my all time favourites. And you can also include any of Tana’s other 3 books in here too. They are all dark, mess with your head, psychological master pieces that will rattle you. More people NEED to read these.
2. Divergent by Veronica Roth – the blurb says one choice can transform you. I say if you have never read dystopia, one book can convert you. This is that book.
3. Delirium by Lauren Oliver – beautifully written, great world building, fantastic character development. Basically a book to get totally lost in. If you haven’t read this, you are missing out.
4. Slammed by Coleen Hoover – a book I have only read lately but now I’m recommending left, right and centre. Even if you don’t like YA/NA, this one is worth reading just for the slam poetry. It’s intense and engaging.
5. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee – just because this is a book everyone should read at least once in their lifetime.
6. The Secret History by Donna Tart – a book that touched my bookish soul and left a lasting impression on there. If you have never read this (and there can’t be many in this category) then do immediately.
7. After Forever Ends by Melodie Ramone – a gem of a book. An Indie book so not well known but it deserves to be huge. I have been praising and raving about this book since I read it last month. Heart warming and laugh out loud funny, it shot straight onto my list of all time favourite books. If you want a book that makes you feel every emotion, here you go.
Bookish Chat : Well any of these on your list or any you think you will read? Let me know, I’m always hungry for comments! And if you are taking part in TTT, leave your link so I can come see your recommendations.

Well I love me some dark psychological reading, so Into The Woods is now a must-have. So is Slammed, obviously for different reasons, though. Everyone says such good things about it. I need to check out After Forever Ends, I always love finding good lesser-known reads, and I definitely agree with you about TKIM.
Oh! I finally have Delirium sitting on my nightstand, waiting to be read!
Great list, Trish! <3

Hi Kelly, would love you to read Into The Woods, the next one The Likeness is even better. But they are all standalone so you can read them in any order.

Divergent! I love that book! It’s also on my list. 🙂 But I can’t finish Delirium. What’s wrong with me? *sobs*
Great list, btw. You can check out my TTT, too! ^_^

Thanks for visiting Julie. Delirium is slow paced so I know it won’t be for everyone 🙂
julie tearjerky
I know! The pace is boring me a bit. But I’ll definitely finish that. I’m sure it’s a good book, I just haven’t gotten the hang of it. 🙂

The Secret History blew me away when I read it years and years ago. Could not put it down. Really.
Wonder what I’d think if I reread it today? Would it survive a reread?
Here’s my list of Top Ten Books I Recommend!
Trish Hannon
Hi Deb, I have reread and it was every bit as good. If not better. It’s timeless!

Tana French is great at creating atmosphere. So good, in fact, that I couldn’t finish any of her books because I couldn’t stand the suspense but I have suggested her to people who like mystery books.

You already got me thinking about Into the Woods on one of your previous posts, so I definitely need to pick that up. And of course I feel like one of the only people in the world who haven’t read Divergent or Delirium. Eek! Great list 🙂

Hi Asti, really hope you try In to The Woods! Usually I’m the last person to get to books so delighted to beat you with the 3 you mentioned!

Thanks for stopping by Ashley, I agree both Delirium and Divergent are unique. Great world building in both.

I really do have to read Divergent. I’m a sucker for reading a book before the movie version comes out, so I really need to hop on this bandwagon lol.
